"Done Right" From Birth to Butcher

There's a reason we raise premium angus beef… In our eyes, there's only one way to raise beef and that's “done right”, the same way it was 150 years ago—with no added hormones, just the highest-quality and attention to detail… “From Birth to Butcher”.

Premium Angus Beef

We like to let our product speak for itself... In this case there is a reason you don't get beef like this at the grocery store. Our cattle graze the open range during summer in Northern Nevada and are fed the highest quality alfalfa hay grown right here on our family ranch in winter.

We are Shining "K" Meats

Annie and Neil Kendricks are locals to Fernley, NV and sole owners of Shining “K” Meats. Neil is a graduate from the University of Nevada Reno with a B.S in Agricultural Science and Applied Economics, and Annie graduated from Truckee Meadows Community College in the Veterinary Nursing Program.

Neil started work after school in meat processing at Wolf Pack Meats in 2011, where he first found his passion. At this time Neil quickly knew that he wanted to start his own meat processing facility, and this is where the idea of Shining “K” Meats started, a dream that would give us full control "from birth to butcher".
